Why a website needs maintenance
A website is never finished for good. Servers and software get security updates, the SSL certificate has to be renewed, and if nobody keeps an eye on it, one day the browser shows a “not secure” warning and the customer leaves.
Backups matter exactly when something goes wrong: a page deleted by mistake, a hacked password, a server failure. With a daily backup the site can be restored as it was the day before.
The third reason is content. Prices, services and contact details change, and old prices on the site mean an awkward conversation with a customer. With maintenance we make the small edits, so you do not have to learn to edit the site.
